Abridged Too Far
Posted on | July 22, 2007
We saw The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at the Tavern last night, and it rocked–yes, it rapped briefly, too. We’d seen very nearly the same production last summer, and it’s still fresh and hilarious. This show probably works best when current events influence the patter with the audience. Last night, there were at least two young people clutching (and reading) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before the show, and so there were some Potter references thown into the mix. Thanks to Maddmomma, and Kerry, who have spurred our recent journeys tavernward.
Meanwhile, I’m half-done with Deathly Hallows myself, and in a few minutes we’re heading for Order of the Phoenix in the theater.
