Islam: the New Communism

Emoting his hope for “tolerance of divergent views and religions in Iraq,” and for the Iraqi people to adopt “something like the First Amendment,” crackpot US Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) supports an escalation of the Iraq war. He goes on to warn us of “thousands and perhaps millions of immigrants” who will arrive on our shores intent on replacing our flag with the “crescent and star,” and “In God We Trust” on our money with “In Moo-ham-id We Trust.”
Goode, a Vietnam-era National Guardsman, seems intent on a do-over in the War on Communism, hoping to make his name creating a new Red Scare to oppose. Yes, he’s that Congressman, the one so “tolerant of divergent views and religions” that he pretends to be terrified by the Qur’an.
And he’s a wanker: big on tolerance except for those other faiths, and who wants both more war and fewer refugees. Count on Goode to draw a paycheck as he wastes our time touting both A and not-A simultaneously.

After reading this, it is really difficult to decide who is the bigger moron–Goode or “Tubes” Stevens.
