Losing Iraq

A classified CENTCOM briefing leaked to the New York Times shows that the war in Iraq is not being won, even if we narrowly define victory as staving off civil war. The attached graphic doesn’t seem to define what is and isn’t civil war, but the big picture is of a nation gradually falling to pieces.
This is not a course we should want to stay. If there’s a way to “win” this conflict, the Bush Administration hasn’t yet found it.
