Daily Kos has the frightening story.

Paper ballots, anyone?  Canada manages to count them overnight in every election.  Are we really so lazy that we can’t ensure that citizens get to vote on actual ballots, which can be recounted as necessary?  Are we really content to have a private corporation with nakedly partisan ties tell us how we voted–with no transparency?
